Congrats to Team Canada....
 
Last weekend in Orlando, Team Canada brought home gold in the All girl level 5 and co-ed level 5 divisions.  They also placed 4th in the level 6 co-ed divison.  Awesome work everyone....
Happy 53rd birthday York

WELCOME BACK HOME LIONS

The York Lions Cheerleading completed their competition season in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina this weekend.  The team placed very well in their division only finishing 7 points behind the overall winner.  Some highlights included York running a great routine, training in Coastal Carolina University and Christie Peddle landing her standing full on a dead floor. Great Job Lions.

 
York Cheerleading Summer Tryouts.

In 2009, the York Cheerleading team was asked to participate in a study to track the incidence of injuries in our sport.  This one year project was headed by the Children's Institute in conjunction with a variety of cheer companies in the US.  The goal of this was to comprise data from schools and all-star teams in the US and Canada to track obtain new stats on injuries in our sport.  Please take the chance, to read it, learn from it and decrease the incidence of injuries in your program.
